I have also been wrestling with my email inbox.  My inbox filters kept mixing and rerouting my important emails to hidden tabs and spam boxes.  (it doesn't even matter which service I use).  What has been happening is that there are too many Bots are out there scraping website for contact info.  I have been flooded with Bot mails that are clearly not written by humans in sent through my website's contact forms.  I don't want to turn off my website's contact form because then my customers won't be able to contact me if they need my help.  But the Bots are making it so that my email AI algorithm is treating all of my emails coming through from customers as bots.  And then rerouting them to hidden and spam folders.  It is incredibly frustrating.  I don't know how to get around this.  I am working on a solution though so please be patience with me.  In the meantime if you have emailed me and I haven't responded.  It is because I never got your email.  I don't even know if you have emailed me because I cannot see the emails or notification for them.  The AI algorithm is not very smart.  It kept letting real spammers (whose names I won't mention) through but have been keeping my real customers out.  I have been very outspoken about this in live groups online.  And I am not the only one.
